WORDS ARE MUSIC
Thirty-nine years in the alternate reality of real-world advertising taught me something. I was ready to move on. In 2016, I retired–was retired. That was my opening. I began writing lyrics. I’m not a musician or composer, but I was attracted to the meter and short form of songwriting, much like writing ads. This project is the happy accident of being around a while. It’s a book of song lyrics, poetry in lyric form. It presents an introspective look through the eyes behind our collective skin. It reveals the underdog, the underserved, the displaced face-maced disgraced character that is us.
